5K Race for Open Space | Tex Mex Connection
Running strong since 1989
Since 1989, this annual race has raised over $1 million for Wissahickon Trails, North Wales Police, North Penn Volunteer Fire Company, and local causes. Save the date: June 24th, 2026.
Race night details
Race starts at 7pm — capped at 1,300 runners. Registration includes a finish photo, tech T-shirt (if registered by May 4th), a Tex Mex dinner, and one margarita or craft beer.
Party under the stars
After the race, join us for live music from 7–10pm, the runner's meal, and a margarita or draft beer. A cash bar is open for family and spectators.
Volunteer, sponsor, or form a team
Volunteers earn a dinner, a margarita, and a $10 gift certificate. Sponsors reach 2,000+ attendees. Green Ribbon Teams can fundraise directly for the race beneficiaries.
